Wedding Flower Budget Planning

Planning Your Floral Budget

There is a lot of flexibility when it comes to sorting through a budget for your wedding flowers, and it’s important to know, as a couple, how important fresh flowers are for your day.

As a good rule of thumb, we suggest your floral investment account for 15% of your overall wedding budget. Most of our couples spend between $5,000-$7,500, but some spend less or budget more based on their preferences.

If you are looking for Pinterest-worthy, abundant designs, accompanied with hire decor and multitudes of candles we would suggest allocating 25-30% of the total wedding budget towards your floral styling.

We have put together a quick summary of example wedding flower budgets and what you can expect to receive from us within that range. Like everything else wedding-related there are so many ‘what ifs’ and ‘except this’ scenarios.

Remember, it’s your day and it should reflect your taste and style.

Under $1,500 (studio collection)

  • Most often, this will allow for bridal bouquet, a few bridesmaid bouquets as well as buttonholes for the groom and groomsmen. Depending on the number in the bridal bouquet, it could account for buttonholes and corsages for a few additional family members.

  • If you are having a very intimate wedding and no bridal party, it could account for your bouquet, a buttonhole as well as a small floral feature on the bar or main table

$2,500 – $4,000

  • Depending on the wedding party size, this will cover  personal flowers and allows for simple table decorations at the reception (for example, bud vases & candles). Or, instead of table flowers, this could allow for a gorgeous feature at the ceremony.
  • Typically, our A-la-Carte services including wedding party, ceremony features, reception flowers, delivery and set up, will fit nicely in this range.
Learn more about our A-la-Carte menu HERE.

$4,500 – $6,000

  • This budget could cover the personal flowers as well as a feature element at the ceremony or reception.
For example, a floral arbour, head-table flowers & simple garden centerpeices on tables for between 80-100 guests.
  • If you're having an intimate celebration with under 50 guests this range ensures a fabulously focused custom curation of your floral vision.

$6,500 – $10,000

  • This price range falls within our typical full-service wedding of 100-150 guests.

Most often this includes personal flowers, a ceremony floral feature, an installation at the reception, as well as full compote centerpeices and candles for the tables with full hire and styling items for your ceremony & reception.

Perth Wedding Florist. Two flower pedestals for a Custom wedding ceremony by wedding florist perth

$10,000 – $15,000

  • With this budget, we are often looking at a collection of personal flowers, large statement / impact pieces at the ceremony (for example, urn arrangements or feature floral pillars as seen here).

For the reception, the budget could allow for a hanging feature as well as flowers and candles for the tables.

It’s almost impossible to provide all the details on every budget because every couple’s wedding is unique. The above looks to provide some guidance on what items can be accounted for within a price range but is by no means a complete list.

From our perspective, we’re thrilled to work with couples regardless of their budget. We are always happy to provide suggestions on where the money is best spent and how to make the greatest impact on the day.
